Project BLUE - an initiative of the Surfrider Foundation
Project BLUE is an initiative established by the Surfrider Foundation in America and aims to raise more than $1 million in support of ocean and beach protection. Industry brands Billabong, DAKINE, Electric, Nixon, and Reef released limited edition Project BLUE products across America in June 2007, with a percentage of the profits being donated to the Surfrider Foundation. The initiative has now entered Australia with Nixon, Electric and Reef all releasing limited edition Project BLUE products, with $2 from each product sold going directly towards Surfrider Foundation Australia.
Surfrider Foundation is a not for profit organisation dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through CARE: Conservation, Activism, Research and Education.
