The Tasmanian State Government is under renewed pressure to recommit to a network of marine protected areas.
Green groups will use World Oceans Day today to urge Premier David Bartlett to commit to the Resource Planning and Development Commission’s recommendations to establish Marine Protected Areas in the Bruny Bioregion.
More than 200 people attended a rally for the same cause on World Environment Day last week.
