Please note: MCCN Closure

The Marine Coastal Community Network (MCCN) has received confirmation from the Australian Government that our contract with them will not be renewed, so after 15 years, MCCN say farewell – for now!

As of July 1 2008 the operations of the MCCN including MCCN’s national office at Chowder Bay, NSW will be run by a small team of volunteer workers. However, this website will remain active with volunteers helping to maintain and refresh its content.
MCCN are currently seeking sponsors to help us continue our valuable work, including producing our publications such as WAVES magazine, Wetstuff News and other state e-news publications, workshops, events and activities. If you are interested in supporting marine and coastal conservation or interested in partnership opportunities, please contact us.
Please note to all our subscribers, until further notice there will be no further issues of our publications until we find new funding sources for our products and services.
Please refer to this website for future developments for MCCN.
Our website will remain open so feel free to browse through and download articles & resources of interest to you, including back issues of MCCN’s flagship WAVES magazine, newsletters, marine and coastal resources, publications, articles and information covering a diverse range of marine & coastal conservation and sustainability issues.
To all of MCCN’s 10,000+ participants,  volunteers and those who have responded to and acted because of information on our website, in our magazine & E-News, have sent letters of support, or who have participated in our workshops and state based activities, we offer a big thank you and fare-well from MCCN.
We encourage you to stay interested in marine & coastal conservation and sustainability – our oceans and coasts need your support, interest and care.
